CHIEF TASHUNKA

It is with great sadness we report on the passing of Chief Tashunka, Mr. Tom Worth, a long time Counselor of Camp DeWitt and teacher at the Haverford School, who passed September 5, 2007  after an illness.  The Chief will be sorely missed by those who depended upon his wit, charisma, charm, intelligence, and zest for life.  Goodbye, Chief..  We know that the angels must have shouted your name loudly to get you there.

His funeral was September 16, 2007 at 3:00 PM

at the Church of the Loving Shepherd,

1066 South New Street, West Chester, PA.

Camp DeWitt Prayer

This is the beginning of a new day.

God has given me this day to use as I will.

I can waste it, or I can use it for good.

But what I do today is important

Because I am exchanging a day of my life

I want it to be gain, not loss

Good, not evil

Success, not failure

In order that I shall not regret the price I paid for it.

Because the future is just a whole string of todays.
